Вот тоже хотел порекомендовать. Я уже рекомендовал игры этой серии своим англоязычным друзьям, поэтому просто процитирую себя: Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Victoria, Hearts of Iron <- These are a great series of games by Paradox Entertainment, which try to model how history works in a more accurate way. Unlike the Civilization series, which is basically a very high-level representation of the development of human civilization with rules that have almost nothing to do with anything in real life (which leads to a possibility of the Aztec Empire exchanging nuclear strikes with the Mongolians and other nonsense like that), these games aim to only deal with the realistic. If you start playing as the Aztec in Europa Universalis, you might compete with Mayans for some time and maybe even conquer them, but you're still not taking over the world. The only thing you might be able to achieve is maybe survive, but that will require a lot of luck and clever diplomacy. If you start as the English, on the other hand, you might end up dominating the world (but probably not conquering it). The games cover the range from about the 10th century to 1949. They are all very different, since it doesn't make sense to model vassal mechanics during the world war, or long-range strategic bombardment during the colonialism era, but the save games can be converted (this is also the only way to take over the world - if you start in the 10th century and work from there). Игры способствуют появлению и развитию интереса к истории, и hands on experience, что позволяет осознать механизм работы некоторых хитрых механизмов.
